Read, watch, learn about human-scaled economies while among New Orleans friends
Post Jazz Fest meeting
I think we are ready to get this rolling again with a few changes. I would like to offer that each month be one of three types of meetings (as of now, please offer ideas):
1. Book review: we will read a pamphlet or book (or part of a book) before meeting and run it as a book review that month. I think Octavia Books would be able to host those months...
2. Lecturers: bringing in people who work on regional economy issues and hearing from them.
3. Working with other groups (like Slow City) to combine meetings and to share ideas.
I am hoping that we can find a Tuesday or Wednesday evening in May to meet. I would like people to look at information about or actually look at the book Slow Money: we would like to discuss the pros and cons of these ideas.
Please email me back to let me know if you are planning on coming so I have a sense of how many people are coming.

Wednesday May 13 at 5:45 at Octavia Books will be a discussion on the book "Slow Money".
